About Event

Pain is one of the most common health problems encountered in clinical practice and has a significant impact on quality of life, productivity, and the socioeconomic burden on society. Advances in pain medicine are occurring at a rapid pace, highlighting the need for continuous efforts to enhance the competencies of healthcare professionals and strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration in pain management.

As the professional organization representing clinicians, researchers, and academicians dedicated to the advancement of pain medicine in Indonesia, the Indonesian Pain Society (IPS) plays a strategic role in promoting education, research, clinical services, and advocacy in the field of pain.

To further these objectives, IPS plans to organize the 2026 IPS National Symposium and Annual Working Meeting. This event will serve as a platform for updating scientific knowledge, exchanging clinical experiences, strengthening professional networks, and formulating the organization's strategic work programs in a structured and sustainable manner.

Welcome Address

“Advancing Evidence-Based Pain Medicine Through Innovation, Collaboration, and Multidisciplinary Care”

It is my great pleasure to welcome all delegates, speakers, moderators, and partners to the Indonesian Pain Society (IPS) Congress 2026. This year’s theme, “Advancing Evidence-Based Pain Medicine Through Innovation, Collaboration, and Multidisciplinary Care,” reflects our shared commitment to improving pain management through scientific excellence, clinical innovation, and patient-centered care.

The congress follows two pre-congress workshops that highlighted complementary dimensions of modern pain medicine: a workshop on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), emphasizing the biopsychosocial approach to chronic pain management, and a hands-on workshop on intra-articular injection techniques, focusing on evidence-based interventional strategies for musculoskeletal pain. Together, these activities underscore the importance of integrating psychological, pharmacological, rehabilitative, and interventional approaches in contemporary pain practice.

As pain medicine continues to evolve, the need for collaboration across specialties and healthcare disciplines has never been greater. Through this congress, we aim to foster meaningful scientific exchange, strengthen professional networks, promote high-quality research, and encourage the translation of evidence into clinical practice. We hope that the discussions, symposia, and collaborative opportunities offered throughout this meeting will inspire new ideas and partnerships that ultimately enhance pain care for patients across Indonesia and beyond. Thank you for your participation, and we wish you a productive and rewarding congress experience.
